Every year, surgeons perform joint replacements on patients who can no longer be treated for osteoarthritis using nonsurgical approaches. After a prosthesis has been implanted during their joint replacement procedure, and after recovery and rehabilitation, the vast majority of patients experience a better quality of life. However, joint replacement for some people will not be the final surgery they need for their affected knee joint, hip joint, or other joint.
It’s important to know that many people who have joint replacement, such as knee replacement, may eventually need a second surgery called a revision arthroplasty procedure or revision surgery. - A fracture is causing pain in the implant area

- When you bear weight on your knee or hip implant, you feel unsteady
